The rich are always the enemy of the rest of us. No matter if they are neo-liberals in philosophy or just the plain old crony capitalists. You know the ones who profess free market enterprise but are the biggest beneficiaries of US socialism. However a particular group of them who may pose the most threat to the people and our republic are those who are not only rich but are also Christian Nationalists.

Although Christian Nationalism, like all Theocratic Nationalism, has been around for a long-time, some are part of a new evolution attempting to grab power and control our society. They may have a much bigger influence than the Second Great Awakening of the 1800s. Even the John Birch Society could not gain the power they needed to influence society as much as our present day CN movement. I give them credit for the work they have done to try to take over this country because it has gained them more power and influence in government and that is significant. However they are not done and we should be very concerned.

Good news: If we take a few lessons from them about how to organize and make alliances, we the people can turn this around.

Bad news: We have to get off our butts and start doing it now. Periodic protests are not enough.

Good news: If lots of us do, the job will be easier and might even be enjoyable.

We need to do something now because the election of 2024 was already the beginning of 1984 aka Project 2025. We are not even a whole year into this regime and they have made great strides with the Project 2025 playbook. Not only do they control the presidency they pretty much control all three branches of the federal government. In places like Douglas County, Oregon, they also control the political power structure here. However at home is the place where we can all start changing things around.
